new camera..... finally
i got a canon powershot sd800 is. i'm just trying it out. i need to play around with the settings, but it's better than my other one.
what do ya think?

Very nice! Does it have an adjustable shutter/aperture mode? If so, run in A for Aperture Priority mode, then use the smallest aperture you can (larger F number, like F8 or so) and you will get a wider/deeper depth of field. Shooting close-ups like that can be tough with a shallow depth of field.
Unless you were trying to make the back of the car out of focus in the first photo, and then in that case, very cool shot.
I'm still playing with indoor still shots with my D70S Nikon 6 months after I got it. Natural light is definitely the nicest to shoot with, and all of the incandescents and halogens in my house make it tough to get good shots indoors.

Re: camera...you have to do a bit more playing around. I'm only using a FUJI FinePix A210. Only 3.2 mp, yours is a 7.1.
You can see up to the ugliest detail.

i was messing with it a little bit. i think they're a little better. the pics seem to have more depth. i'll get it right one day.
