Lrp sphere tc esc
Lrp sphere tc esc
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying another speed control. I have the Lrp sphere Tc spec and I love it. It's no longer available however so I've been looking at other options. I'm seeing most are 60amp-120amp but the specs on my lrp say it's 400amp?? Could this be right? That would be more than any 1/5 scales I can find. Here's the specs on it.

Re: Lrp sphere tc esc
Amp rating has always been nonsense I blew my 1040A-rated MC116 with a poor 15 double 20yrs ago
Any top of the line modern controller will run more motor than you can dream of. Xerun/SpeedPassion is pretty much the standard these days for 10th scale, and it's rated at "only" 120A. I have a 35A ezrun in one of my basher B4's and it was perfect.
Hope this helps,
Paul

Re: Lrp sphere tc esc
I was looking at getting the ezrun or hobbyking brand 120amp esc's. I love my lrp and I'd get another, but I need one a little shorter. The fan is too tall for installing it under the rear shock tower on my blitz.

Re: Lrp sphere tc esc
Are you getting a combo set (motor+ESC) or just the ESC?
Because the EZ-Run is sensorless and the LRP sensored, and I'm not sure the old LRP motors can run in sensorless mode...

Re: Lrp sphere tc esc
I am looking for just an esc. I have a few extra sensored motors. The ezruns have some sensored esc's now and so does the hobbyking linuep. They're roughly $60-$100 for a 60amp-120amp esc.
