The author refers to the nodes as "Points And Control Handles" just so you can understand my terminology to theirs.

Another note. If tracing anything AE that is old the font for that text is machine, that will save you quite a bit of time. I always exhaust all options trying to find the correct font before having to take the plunge to draw text. In other words redrawing text sucks.

Sounds simple enough. Thanks. I'll give it a try.SoloGraphix wrote:well you pretty much just need to learn to use the pen tool in illustrator. You point and click the tool to make adjustable nodes. You can make nodes that creat curves or ones that continue a straight line. Once you are completed drawing the nodes, you can idividuall adjust each one to perfect yuor illustration.
This tutorial ( http://www.sketchpad.net/drawing1.htm ) looks pretty indepth to get you started.

Re: Need some Assitance.
I was wondering if there was an easier way to live trace in Illustrator cs2 for color items.. I have played around with the options and presets and cannot seem to get a good trace when the items are in color. I have started scanning in some old decals I have, mostly Novak and an rc10DS sheet, but with live trace it just turns out horrible. I am using a scanned tiff. Do any of you know what I am doing wrong?
The idea is to put together certain decals I want onto one sheet then having them printed...
