Your theory I'm sure is correct LTO. The cells aren't all that sensitive anyway and I'm sure 4.2v in each will make a fine run for months to come. The balancing taps are a PITA. They're all proprietary(thank you Firefox  ). I'd give it a go while monitoring it closely just to error on the side of caution. And charging time I'm sure is as much of an issue with you as it is with me. I run my non-racers maybe once a month if they're lucky!

EDIT: I was posting the same time as jun, if you have to choose I'd listen to him(or anyone else for that matter  )over me any day.

Well, I may just order a balancing harness to be safe. The instructions for my charger says it uses XH-style connectors and my balance board has a 3, 4, and two 5-pin connectors, one of the 5-pin connectors connects to the charger. So if I'm right, then this balancing harness with an XH-style connector will plug into my balance board, correct?

That's totally different than my system so I can't answer, but I believe that is the most popular tap. Someone will know for sure. For now I really do think you're safe to charge it and try it out.

Here's a pic I just took of my balance board, which I'm assuming has the XH-style plugs according to my charger's manual:

Sorry I was out a few days, but that definitely looks like XH to me. It is the most common connector as far as I've seen. Most inexpensive ebay batteries come with that type.
