RC10 Ball Cups?

Post by cautiousone »

Will these things fit my RC10 buggy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RPM-73381-HEAVY-DUTY-WHITE-4-40-ROD-ENDS-BALL-CUPS-RC10-/270835568070?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0f0ecdc6

I replaced the shock tower today and got to noticing that it has 3 ball cups that are much bigger then rest and one rubs against another on my steering. I would just like to replace them all. Are those on eBay any good and will they work ok for my buggy?

They'll work but if you put all rpm cups together in the steering area they will rub yet. I've seen alot of guys use stock cups on the inside top turnbuckles and they pass without rubbing but otherwise yep...they'll work for your rc10

Yeah I see what you are saying, the ones that I have rubbing, one is stock and the other is a heavy duty model and they still don't seem to work to well together. Maybe I'll just replace the rest of them and use all stock cups around my steering to solve that problem. Thanks for the help...

Associated makes a ball stud with a short "neck" If you use these on the tower, it will reduce/eliminate this issue. -Jeff

Did you use your original turnbuckles with these cups? I have to repair a cup on my graphite rc10 and wondered if I could use my original turnbuckles...thanks.
