The postman came yesterday with this very clean RC10 that was already fitted with a Jay Halsey paint scheme body (though not totally correct according to some of you), but that will be do to start an interesting project... Scr8p already helped to find the correct Autographics numbers and Jammin Jay font (and maybe 1.5'' Proline tires ), now searching for the black front rims...

Thanks buddy, there is just something that worries me: what are those rear tires Jammin Jay has on the "official" picture? Also, do you know what kind of electronics (motor, speedo, receiver, servo...) he used back then?

To start this off, I would 1st like to congratulate Jay Halsey himself on winning the 1st ever IFMAR OffRoad Worlds in 2WD, and sending the RC10 and RC World into a spiral of evolution that has taken the RC10 to many subsequent World Championships!...

Love these jay halsey builds I styled my b6.4s with a touch of this styling. Still want to add black front wheels. It’s not as detailed but is a bit of a throwback.
Ugh, my camera keeps making my parts look yellow, maybe it is the color of the blanket under the car... oh well. Here is a work in progress. Thanks to Sofa King for the Jammin Jay body. If you want one, he may have more, but I am not sure.
Thanks...

Well he does have 4 nuts and two are bigger than the others. If you ask me that's not normal and worth a look.
maybe thats why he's so popular wit' the ladies. 8)
I used the search to no avail, one of the guys here built a replica to the RC10 that was in the Jammin parts ad. You know, the 2 page spread.. It had the long shocks in front with the Jammin Jumper body, solid dished wheels with Losi tires... Can...

I have been studying this car and building my own finally, and a few things I have noticed that have not been brought up.
1) The servo would most likely have been a Futaba J connector as I have only seen straight side bye side bye side...
First off I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mike Bartino and I live in Ontario, Canada. My main area of the rc hobby right now is flying turbine jets and other aircraft. I have a serious interest in vintage cars mainly from all...

i've never got a definative answer on that, but it's most likely just a stock fiberglass tower, with 2 new holes drilled lower than the factory ones to gain more ride height, and then dyed black.
i've wanted one of these freakin' things since they came out. when i started racing in '91, i had to get a junior-t since that was what i could afford at that time. it worked out for the best though, since i mopped the floor with every 5 link jrxt i...

Very cool to end up with that sticker, amazing how things do end up. Looks great on there.
Just picked this up from eBay. I'm pretty sure it was owned and raced by Jay Halsey. I'm surprised no one else bid on it. Probably put the correct 6 gear tranny and milled motor plate and everything else period correct if it's legit. Comments?...
