Theres gotta be an easier way :lol: (but it did work though) :lol: :lol: :lol:
how do you solder the metal ball coupler to the wire?

It's been a long time since I have built one but I remember dreading it. One problem you might have had is that your pliers were acting as heat sinks which may have slowed your progress.

I remember drilling a hole in a piece of hardwood for the ball end and CA'ing two pieces of balsa vertically for the wire to slide between.

Heating the solder wasn't a problem, although it was not a good idea to solder on the dining room table :oops: but my only opportunity was during dinner. :lol: :lol:

Thats a great idea civilguy, can I get that sketch in .dwg format? :lol:

I was actually detailing a bridge survey for a client and just sketched that off to the side. Sorry I didn't save it. :wink:

Hey Jon, browsing the posts I noticed you where from Staten Island, I used to live there moved about 6 years ago, i used to go to a hobby store on port richmond ave is that still open ? Have they built any new tracks ? ... anyway good luck with your builds !!!
