Well since I've been off work the last couple days due to Sandy knocking out power there I had some time to work on my cars and thought I'd post some pics. I'm a casual hobbyist, never raced or hardly even bashed but always had an interest in the hobby. This is my original goldpan from 1987. Early cadillac - edinger box and motor label, no writing on tires. Broken down and rebuilt earlier this year. Have body, not wing.
This one I bought used. Broke down and rebuilt mostly with parts it came with. Added new wheels and tires, repro gear cover, Tekin ESC and Jammin Jay diff rebuild kit. Has extra hole on each side I tried to hide with stickers
This is my graphite I pretty much bought piece by piece. Has a lot of new parts. I think most parts are correct as far as building from the manual. Except used jammin jay diff tube, RJ speed spur. Need to clean up body yet.
Biggest problems/pains in the butt with the builds and being a relative beginner - some stripped threads, getting snap rings out of outdrives (the ones in the shocks I just rip out and use new ones bought from Mcmaster), screwing ball cups on threaded rods. I'm sure I'll think of some more.
Well, for being a "beginner", you've put together some nice machines. I like the original car's look, which is why I'd make it a shelf queen, but I'd take the one you covered the holes on, and do a little customizing.
People get into these for different reasons, and I think the main attraction is they're the closest thing to kits as you can find nowdays. Besides, hunting ebay is almost a hobby in itself.
Thanks guys. I had 2 different painters on them and asked them to base them on the paint schemes from a couple old TCR slotless cars I always liked. Hard to pick up in the pic but the white circles have a number in them. I think it would have been better if he used the orange or black for the number to get a better contrast.
Hi guys! Some might have known me from CT. I've wanted a RC10 gold for quite some time now. Just that whenever there's a deal, I don't have the cash for it. Well, finally and luckily, I found a local deal on a RC10 lot. I don't know ANYTHING about...

I emailed the guy over a week ago with ideas about making me a custom set and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I figure he's either really busy or hungover from Labor Day weekend :P
Hello, I just got into the RC10s and was wondering if someone could tell me why these two front-ends are different. Which one is older, better, etc... THanks!!!
All,
I finally got around to painting a body for one of my RC10s last nite, it has been months since I painted a body.I did a simple spray can job with Tamiya PS paints, the wing was done up with some carbon decal material. Further details I plan to...

Glad I could make you laugh. I find it easier to poke fun of myself than to exercise.
Well, I've been haunting this forum for a couple months, always have loved the vintage cars, kicking myself for ever getting rid of my JRX2, the very first run, when the box was white with red JRX2 letters on it, no box art or anything....
I...

Thanks guys. Interesting information on the B2. I knew it shared many of the same parts with the B3. Like someone else pointed out, I always assumed the B3 came out so quickly after the B2 because of performance, but I guess my assumption was wrong...
