Actually, I've busted the planetary gears. But never anything else (plastic or metal).

I put it down to the grease all leaking out. I didn't have time that week to do any maintenance and decided to race it even though I suspected the diff might have very little grease in it. Since then I've switched to sticky marine grease.

When I was running a plastic tranny and brushless, I ran it till the gears felt like razors. :)

I have run a few of mine til they get that sharp...razors grip til they break so its all good :mrgreen:

Mostly the ones that have gotten broke locally are by people that don't think maintenance is something you do with toys :roll: . Get what you get when you live by the 'no maint.' rule.
