Yes, a lot of bodies were painted with a brush back then. There wasn't nearly the selection of colors or as many lexan paint manufacturers back then.
I don't know what colors the original was painted. I did manage to find it online one time, but I have no idea where I saw it. I guess we'd have to find out what companies were making lexan paint back in 84. I want to say Pactra was, but I'm not 100%. The main body color was some kind of yellow, obviously not a bright yellow.
