Tamiya Dynastorm restore.

Post by ralphee »

Picked this up for a good price recently. Throwing the book at it, it'll be a light runner but it'll have a new shell and decals, full Nimrod suspension parts, and various other new shiny bits.
Keeping with the Tamiya theme, im fitting a new Tamiya 11t super modified, not the greatest motor around, but it'll do the job.
Just need some more stuff to arrive now, and i can get into it....weather has played havoc with the mail here in the UK.

You were lucky to get one at a good price, Super Astute and DynaStorms seem to get good money now. Weird cause I've seen 2nd hand Egress's got for less than a Super Astutes recently!

Thats a really nice buggy you got, look forward to seeing the runner!

nice, i've always wanted one of these to run @ the vonats, as it's the only tamiya car that could compete on the same level as the rc10's, jrx2's and such.

Jamie Booth's Astute used to be able to keep up with the RC10s and Jrx2s BITD. But then again, that's Jamie Booth!

Sorry bud, there is an update, i made a claim with PP, and got an update, telling me they now have shipping/tracking info, soooo, i may get it yet.
Nimrod have had major problems with orders on the main site, but also, been very useless in responding to customers payments.......so we will see.

Well it appears my parts have shipped, and were packed, got a pic this AM of my box and my parts.......lets hope all goes well now, as im eager to get my 'storm running.
Got a nice NIP Tamiya 11t mod ( i know its lame, but just wanted to keep it Tamiya) and a lovely Novak Atom to install now, pondering a tricky vintage Tamiya racing wing too????? Opinions.

There not half bad Rich, very bling with the carbon weave, cant speak for how well they hold up, but then ill only be giving it light treatment when its run, going to pick up some spare Tamiya wishbones just in case though, seeing as i have the other important sprues lol.

Where it begins

Most of what i have now, should make for a pretty chassis.
