Painting a Kyosho Lazer ZXR shell. Suggestions please???

My buddy has his ZXR and wants me to paint one of TBG's ZXR shells for it.

I have always struggled with these particular molds and after doing a Google search I was wanting to look around for some neat ideas when painting this shell.

It's going to be a tough one for me as the shell has lots of angular lines which will cuase me some masking troubles no doubt.

If you have any painted ZXR shells that aren't box art I am interested in having a look into your work.

Missing 1 back side wing, hopefully it will turn up.

As clean as they come still has the chassis protectant sheild.

One on ebay for $400 doesn't appear to be original chassis seems cut.

I could use a new front bumper.

Hi guys, new to this forum, trying to post some pictures, hope this works, just finished restoring this Lazer ZX, had you use a Lazer ZXR bodyset, waiting on a friend to send me some repro ZX bodysets, I've got another ZX that I will use the body...

I had some spare pieces laying around. I used the one for Ultima used 6-32 SS screws and Nylon blocks with 6-32 threads.

I had to remove some material to clear top deck at the servo link up.

Used existing top plate, works great nice and smooth.

Ive got 2 sets of the A&L steering for Yokomo or Associated. Are they the same between applications? Looks good on a Kyosho. I havent used mine because it would require drilling new large holes on Yok, with large countersinks, as they take the fat...

Well since she had some complains about the Schumacher XLS
The wing was a abit battered and yellow the 32 pitch gears makes it a bit noisy and the body was white and it didnt look like her sisters RC10 :lol:
When i was home i started to fix an zxr...

hi all, this is my first post on the site so please be gentle! ive been looking for a vintage lazer zx-r to restore for a long time, ive been offered this ropey old thing, advertised as a zx-r but im not so sure, i wondered if you can help identify...

Piecing together a ZX-R might be easier than picking up a complete one, especially since piecing one together will get you much-needed spares...and cool hop-ups (such as the ones this one has).
