Hey there

Post by Paul_in_PA »

Hi guys ... new member here. I really like what you have assembled here on RC10talk.com. What a great collection of RC10 history, stories, resources and pictures. Good stuff!

Like many of you guys, I have been dusting off my two older RC10s this year as I introduce the hobby to my kids. Based on my research from your forum, it seems as if my oldest RC10 is likely a "Cadillac." I also have a B2 that my boys and I rehabbed this year (rebuilt tranny and new esc, servo, brushless 17.5 and batteries.)

I picked up a new RC10B4.1 RTR earlier this year. I wanted to add another car to the quiver and this was my oldest boys big 10th birthday present. Although my wife keeps asking if this was more for him or me? ... I suppose she has a point! Tough to settle for the new RTR, I much prefer to build my own kits ... but I needed all the extras (radio, esc, motor) and an affordable option in the hands of my boys.

I really missed the "kit" experience. Some of my fondest memories as a kid are building cars from the ground up, trouble shooting and repairing the cars after bashing/crashing with my buddies and upgrading the cars with hop-up parts to get the edge!. I just got a new RC10B4.1 FT Worlds edition kit to build from the ground up with my boys.

I have not been able to rehab my gold pan yet - maybe some day! ( and it seems to be much harder to get the older parts.) I am super stoked to see the news of the re-release of the original RC10! I placed that pre-order last night! Hopefully this release might also open up availability for some of the old school replacement parts.

Thanks again for the great forum you guys have created ... I may not be a super active & vocal participant (I read way more than I write), but I really wanted to say thanks for all of the great material you guys have assembled here.
