YZ10 Works 92' aka SuperDogFighter
This superdogfighter works 92' was my first real runner at the time (1993)
and it's the only car i kept from this period (i tought it got one of the best RC car design)
in 90's i was student and doesn't got so much money to put in rc, but the last year i decided my old works 92' to make a come back.
not as it was in 90's but as i would it to be...
first the car as i let it 20y ago:
the works 92' is the same as a 91' but with a different transmission size (belts , diff. spurs... got smaller tooth than the 91')
when i racing it, i got several options on it:
-asso shocks
-carbon upper deck (doesn't remember, maybe an Ansman)
-titanium turnbuckles and shocks shafts
-plastic wing
to me the weakness of this car are the front steering block
i finally find aluminium ones on the bay to resolve this point
i also decided to build it full carbon and to added a 93' tcs (so come back to a standard trans)
let's get a first look at the beast:
a lot of work to come...

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
Really nice example you have. Looks like a Team Car... All the right modifications (top deck, A-arms, bellcrank, rear bulkhead etc.).
Are the new steering blocks Team Suzuki items or other? Beautiful items.
Keeping an eye on this build. Welcome to the forum. Plenty of good information flowing around here.

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
thank's for your interest Vin ,
you're right it got the usual prep. for the time (early 90's)
steering blocks are PK, but the rest of blue anodized parts are Team Suzuki.

Just out of interest, did the '92 come with the hard slipper?
Anyhow, I'll keep an eye on this one!

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
as i know, the first YZ10 to get a slipper is the Works'93, before this one there's a simple free wheel.
the slipper on mine is from ebay , and cost me a lot

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
I thought so...anyway the hard slipper will give you more motor choices!
Good luck.

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
The steering blocks on my 93 works has a carbon brace on the steering that went to them with Ti turn buckles . I guess they figured it out by then .. I think in 94 they made the new car and it had upper arms to resold the issue ... I sure miss my 93... What drive train did you use ? You said Tcs .. As in associated inroad car ?

Re: my enhanced WORKS 92'
It 's been a looonng time I began this project.
In that long period I own many parts and lots
So I decided to not too much enhanced my works 92' as it gonna be a near 93' edition
Kept it as it was at the time (except for the hubs/carriers) and build a 91' and 93 ' editions to chill with my 92'.
body is paint , still the electronics to put in...

Re: YZ10 Works 92' aka SuperDogFighter
Great looking car.
I have a backup 94 that has a similar amount of blue bling.
Get it running.
You guys have so many nice cars but I see very little running. I think we all need to start posting in action shots/vids. My 96 Pavids is ready to go along with my primary 94....though I guess I am cheating a little bit since I drive on an on road track:) I hate cleaning the diffs.
