Sent a parcel to the USA 3 weeks ago, advice please...

Hi guys

3 weeks ago today, I sent a NIB buggy kit to California. But the chap still hasn't received it.

It was sent with insurance, but I can't track it, sadly.

I'm thinking it must be at customs, and the question is- is 3 weeks+ the standard waiting time, to clear customs?

Nick - i've never sent to the USA, but when i did look into it for someone the shipping times weren't very good. I think 3 weeks is possibly about average, so I'd hang on for another 7-10 days to see what materialises.

I assume you know when it left the UK ?

When I sent a package to Greece, it took months to get through customs and get to its final destination. In this day and age, international shipping is a real bitch, everyone must be patient.

US customs are pretty easy and efficent, and we don't have that VAT assessment- that's abnormal

What service did you use to send the parcel? Some are only trackable in the UK, however there is a way to track them once they reach the US as well.
