I guess the original owner REALLY loved his RC10......

I saw that on ebay, looks like a few parts will live to see another day. All the other parts I would save and make a good runner/basher one day. That's what I do with all the parts I have that are not looking too hot!

its toast to

lol its runner quality chassis nothing even close to shelf

but i have a good clean tub
the main reason i bought it was for the trans
so i can build a shelfer with the clean tub i have

hopefully the trans is not to bad

i have all the parts to rebuild the internals nip excpt im short 1 outdrive and then the slipper ringgs and balls

so hopefully i can salvage that stuff from the trans

i also have a nip front shock tower slated for this build
ill probaly just replace all the ball studs

i need the front shocks from this beast (hopefully the shafts are good )

then i need to track down a good set of vintage rims and tires (lhs has nothing left i can use lol last build i resorted to truck tires in the rear)

You didn't overpay for it. Consider it an exercise in historic rc10 preservation

came in today it was a s nasty as the pics not to much worse (did leave the pube hanging off the body post lol)

i bought the slipper parts off feepay 10$(needed a slipper for a stalth as well and seller had bolth)

its now torn down
and parts are soaking in my ultrasonic cleaner in some la awsome rust and lime cleaner

seems to be working well on the steel parts

only thing im going to have trouble with is the set screws that hold the front shock carrier are rusted to a point i cant get a allen key in them

and the front stub axles will not come out (hopefully a quick saok will soften everything up so i can )

i do have 1 spare white front axle carrier her ebut not 2 so i need to salvage at least 1

well after a good soak in lime and rust remover im pretty much at a loss lol

the metal parts were toast

i salvaged
front shocks and 1 front shock lower pivot(thank good for leaky shocks lol)
4 diffrent hinge pins most were toast

the trans was pretty rough as well
saved all internals but i will need new bearings

the outdrives may be usable but they look so ugly (i have 1 replacment but not 2)

the outer slipper is toast as well as the slipper rings and balls (i salvaged 1 ball since the slipper i orderd is missing 1 ball)

right now all the salvaged metal parts are dry and now soaking in a 3 in 1 oil bath

plastics are in a box now waiting for their bath to see what makes it into the final build

on a up side i picked up a crock pot last night so i can dye the rear rims i bought (traxxas bandit) to match the original front rims i had in my parts box
