Hi All,
I grew up in southern California and started out with my RC10T team truck about 20 years ago. I was never able to keep it running very long since I was a kid and kept breaking the car trying to jump it and drive through water. I didnt have the budget to keep it running back then.
Recently I saw a neighbour here in Tokyo playing with his buggy and I started to research what was new in RC. I had my old truck sent over to me form back home and here I am working on bringing it back to running condition.
Car (1993 RC10T Team)
- All stock really, all stock turnbuckles and ball ends, stock CVDs
- Bearings are still in good shape
- Shocks still have full oil
Electronics
- Radio: Futaba Magmum Junior
- Receiver: Futaba receiver and servo that came with the kit
- Motor: Reedy Sonic G (11T brushless probably ran 2 times before burning my speed control)
- (new) Tekin FX (in the mail still, brushless ESC supporting Lipos and down too 10 turn)
- (new) Orion 4200 2s Lipo (picked up at local hobby shop)
I am trying to stay true to the original kit and era, but figured running lipo's would be the way to go.
