Re: jconcepts detonator for rc10
Thanks! These are both runners and can be easily duplicated by anyone. Unlike some of my other builds, everything about these cars is readily available (well, as much as RC10 parts are available) to everyone. They both drive as good as they look too!!!

Got my Detonator body. Really crisp sharp lines, fantastic job to J Concepts. Cant wait to toss my colors on it and see how they flow with the body lines.

For you weight conscious racers, the JConcepts motor plate weighs 5 grams less than the AE part.

Re: jconcepts detonator for rc10
Thanks Jharris for sharing the pics of the new parts. i would really like to see jconcepts make a trimmed front nose plate. Trimmed down how cliff lett did them with a U trimmed out the front, corners rounded off, counter sunk brace tube holes, sell it with nose brace tubes to run both wheel bases and last but not least anodized blue!
Here is some more rc porn, i was a detonator hater at first, but since i got mine it has really grown on me, seeing the other paint jobs also really show off the body. And this is just rad:

I finally got around to painting my Detonator. Like others have said, once I had it in hand and painted, I like it a lot better! Now I just need to add decals.

Re: jconcepts detonator for rc10
Hmmm, mine looks pretty boring compared to some of those. I'm no artist, though, and not at all patient. More to the point, I guess, is that I have trouble investing too much time into something I'll be cosmetically destroying in short order. None of my bodies survive my driving for long (I think Prolite was a new record, though, almost completely destroyed in < 12 packs)
This is my Detonator rendition, a metallic rust faded into Inca gold, with metallic green that came out brighter than anticipated:

Wow, just now seeing this... I can't belive they released that crap. Horrible. I wouldn't even want to paint that thing. Those wheels are wack too. I'm stick to the old schools...

When you google image search "biting the hand that feeds you", there is a pretty good shot of an alligator that will come up pretty quick.

I like it, and I am glad I painted it up. Can't wait to finish up the 6 gear short arm car to hit the track.

Re: jconcepts detonator for rc10
You know, if someone I didn't know were to walk up to me and say something like that about my car, my clothing.........whatever, I might just pop that person in the mouth. Not because I particularly care about another person's opinion, but because I cannot stand people who have no manners. There's a fine line between speaking your mind and being a jackhole, and the difference is tact.Wow, just now seeing this... I can't belive they released that crap. Horrible.
