B3 buggy forum find on the cheap!

Post by Blacktiger355 »

Picked this up from rcgroups forum for $50 shipped. Buggy is super clean. I am not sure if it was ever run at all. Looks like electronics were installed at one time. There is only a couple small scratches on the rear bottom plate. Rest of the chassis is mint! Shocks have no oil, and the tires are glued with contact cement. Should peel off easy.
It is missing the battery strap and the rear wing wire and wing things. Plus it even came with a Novak GTB esc. And it looks to be the lipo version after some research. The last pic of the car is with a body I had got in a parts lot of other rc10 stuff. Was wondering what I was going to do with it..LOL Bit rough but will work for now.

Not to bad for $50 I think! Now I just need to decide if I am going to run it, sell it or shelf it. LOL

Great deal, congrats 8)

If you run it, you might want to swap out the rims for 3/16 Asso re10's / TT Phoenix sets since those aren't as rare as the originals

Nice car, but isn't the GTB the ESC that supposedly fries if you look at it funny?
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

I have had three GTB's and all have worked without any issues.

Ok. Maybe I read about a lot of problems because there are so many of them.
I vote you make the car a shelfer or sell it. If you want a B3 runner, there are plenty of scratched up examples. I don't imagine there are many left in this condition.
What servo is that?

Yeah I am leaning to a shelfer or sell it. Servo is a JR z250 standard servo, nothing special.
