Which one do I have?
Which one do I have?
How do I know which version car I have? How do I tell between the RC10 Team car and the Champion Edition?

Re: Which one do I have?
You have an early gold tub model there, small front arms and 6-gear tranny. The championship edition came first came out with a 6-gear, gold shock caps, and long front a-arms, then with a Stealth and black shock caps... The Team Car (tub vesion) had a black chassis, Stealth tranny, and Teflon coated shocks with black shock caps (there are other subtil differences but that is sufficient to name them at a glance)

Hi, I,m new.
Just wanted to point out that there was actually three versions of the Champ Edition. the two you mentioned are the A and C variations as denoted on the tail of the chassis just below where the motor sits.
The B version came with the updated black cap shocks(and separated instrucions to assemble them), 6 gear tranny, and an updated gold tub with additional holes already there for bolting in the stealth and there were more countersinks on the belly of the tub for mounting the battery cups.
Another item of note is that the tranny brace had 2 additional holes to accomodate for the stealth tranny.
I have the A and B chassis, I'll try and stick up some pics of the chassis.
...just my 2 cents. cheers.

I've got one of those stealth era six-gear CE's. It's a funny machine. It also should have the fourth stealth mounting hole in the motorplate. I'm pretty sure justinspeed79 has one of these too.Scruedloose wrote:Hi, I,m new.

as for the worlds car, from what i can remember the front suspension geometry was changed (narrower noseplate) and it came stock with these bright yellow rims. I could be wrong though, it's been quite a while since i've seen one.
Here's those pictures i mentioned earlier, the grey one is the 2nd version, gold is the first(disregard the tranny brace on the gold one, this piece was missing when i got this car

showing hole differences

shows the stamp A

not very visible B stamp

towers..

Re: Which one do I have?
Are the towers with the six holes at the top harder to find or more common?

Re: Which one do I have?
Easy isn't the word for it. I bought all the remaining ones from my LHS for $10. I ended up with 11, plus the 3 others I had in my stash of parts. So now I have 14 waiting for future builds. Or if I wreck one of my runners.
