i'm about to break out my v.o.n.a.t.s. 10t and race it in local mod truck classes. lots of guys are trying to bring the class back.
i almost bought a t4.2, and still might, but i love the way the original 10t drives so i'm gonna have a go at the new trucks for a while before i join them.
right now my setup is very close to the setup charlie dont surf posted. i'm running a tekin rspro with a tekin 7.5 motor, b4 top shaft, ft ti turnbuckles, rpm ends, rpm arms, stock white plastic everywhere else, fiberglass towers and top load gold shocks, new style mip t4.1 cvd's, spektrum 6040 servo, turnigy nanotech 5300 90c battery (have shorty's too but will try the brick first), proline suburbs (m4) all around to start, indoor), t3 body.
i should be able to race it next week, i'm waiting on a few parts to arrive.
quoting myself here, i ran it last nite.....holy moly is it fast. geared 84/16 it's ballistic. in blinky mode with the epa dialed back it was still pulling wheelies down the straight and it was clearly the fastest vehicle on the track last nite. i only ran it in practice as it was a handfull on a small indoor track. i'm running it this weekend on a big 1/8 track, should be able to stretch it's legs. the 7.5 is no joke lol, i'm used to running 10.5 at the most in a buggy and rarely run truck at all.
Re: Race setup for 10T
Here is a setup I have been using for a couple months now and really like.

Re: Race setup for 10T
It runs pretty good, but now that you pointed that out I noticed that I forgot to mention I'm now running the T2 front shock tower. The shocks are a little more at an angle now but i really like how it handles for me.

Re: Race setup for 10T
I just saw that in your thread. The late FRP tower on that sheet is at least one hole wider at the top, maybe more.
Re: Race setup for 10T
Yea it's wider and slightly taller. If I was using the original I would be using the middle hole but felt the T2 tower was a good compromise, plus I like carbon fiber.
