Is there something special about shipping batteries. Pretty much every site I'm seeing has a higher shipping cost if there is a battery in the order?

They might be considered hazardous material and cost more to ship. I'm not sure if that's the case, but just a theory.

Ahh not the place I was thinking of. Udisco was the one I used before. You had to send them a list like mail order days and they would process it and bill you for the total including shipping without telling you how much the shipping was. Weird...

I bought an engine from Hong Kong and the seller doesn't ship to Australia, no problem, I'll just get it sent to a friend in the US, easy right? Seller comes back...

We are no longer shipping international effective immediately. There will be no exceptions made. We have too many delivery issues at this time and the amount of orders is not enough to justify the headache of international orders.

Bummer, that's a shame about international shipping. :(

Personally I've never had a package go missing or damaged, but I can understand the frustrations.
