Complete history of the Associated RC10
Figured it would be smart to start a thread about the complete history of the car this forum is devoted to. I think we should nail down a definitive list of the Associated RC10. All the complete buggys and trucks with the RC10 name. No aftermarket chassis, we can do that in another thread.
Here's my what my memory can contribute. Lot's of holes, but a start. It would also be nice to have kit numbers to go with each kit.
6010 RC10 - the original gold tub, 6 gear RC10
RC10CE (Championship Edition) same as the original, but with wider front arms and taller wheels and tires
RC10 Graphite. Same as the CE, but with a graphite chassis (graphite shock towers?)
Somewhere around this time, I think the Stealth transmission was introduced. Did it first appear on the CE, or did it come on a whole new car?
RC10T. Awesome truck version of the RC10, far superior to the aftemarket conversion trucks. Came with a Stealth and completely different suspension.
RC10 Worlds. New chassis, shock towers, and other stuff. I remember it was a looooong time in the making, several years. Based on the car the won the Worlds, I think driven by Masami Hirosaka. But, the final production car was different than that car.
RC10B2 & T2. Whole new car
RC10B3 & T3. Whole new car
RC10B4 & T4. Whole new car
Like I said, lots of holes. This is just from memory, I don't feel like Googleing or digging through my stack of RCCA's tonight. Feel free to contribute or correct anything. It would also be fun to find out little details like when the shocks changed.

its official, i now need to get internet at home...
the shocks changed halfway during the production of the graphite and champ editions. at least thats my deduction from my graphite/c.e. manuals that have supplemental inserts added for the new-style shocks and also the stealth tranny.
also, i think the t.q.10 came out right before the 'graphite' and c.e. editions.

RC-10 HISTORY
This is my minor donation, the first release of the truck was #7001, I believe, GRIZZLY
IT'S BEEN A LONG, HARD ROAD. I HAVE RISEN FROM THE ASHES.
I don't remember the numbers but, here goes,
RC10 short arm 6 gear with or without bearings
TQ10 made by AE and Horizon, It had a graphite chassis, long front arms, 2.0 tires and wheels and a Sidewinder body.
RC10 CE with or without bearings, new body, and 3 piece wheels
About this time AE also sold powder coated chassis in blue, pink, yellow, and green and maybe more colors.(I still liked the gold tub)
AE debuted the original design of the stealth car in '89 worlds in Australia.
Stealth conversion kit for the RC10
RC10T with black tub, stealth, white arms, and skinny and wide front tires. It debuted in cow print paint on the body.
RC10 Team in graphite or black tub, stealth one piece wheels and universals.
RC10 Worlds car which Kinwald won his first worlds with and then went to Losi.
RC10ST Like the RC10T with bushings
RC10B2/T2 Different style
RC10B3 upgrade of B2/T3 new truck
RC10B4/T4 Different style
