Bleaching Green Raider ARR Wheels?

I recently sold a new in box Kyosho Raider, and the buyer said it was missing the two front rims.

So, I am scrambling to find him a new set. The part# is RD-13 (which includes all 4 rims). As you might imagine, I'm coming up dry. The closest I can find are those green rims (RD-23) for the Raider ARR.

Question: ** Is it possible to bleach the green wheels to white? I've never tried on colored parts. I have only used peroxide to whiten faded white parts. I suppose spray painting them white is also an option.

If that's not going to work, if anyone has a secret link to Raider rims, or knows of compatible rims from another kit that would work, I am all ears. I feel horrible for the mistake with the buyer and want to make it right.

Shawn, not sure how I missed those in my google searching. I think I will preemptively buy them before they're gone while I am checking with the buyer. I will clean and bleach them up first, but hopefully they will be good as new.

No problem.. I remembered that oldrc.com had those a little while ago when I was there looking for some parts.. I thought about buying them for a project but didn't because I changed my mind.. Good luck and hope it works out for you..

hondaman, thanks again for the link. The Raider rims turned out to be new but faded (as expected). I was able to whiten them with hydrogen peroxide and a few days of suntanning. They are just like a new set and I am mailing them to the buyer now.
