Help me identify this Yokomo can motor
During the course of my RC10 rebuilds, I pulled this motor from the 'runner' car I traded for. I don't recognize the company / brand but I do see that it is a Yokomo based motor. Can anyone tell me about it? I'd like to see if I can get the specs for it and any interesting history there may be.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Help me identify this Yokomo can motor
I'm not sure of when that particular motor is from, but CAM was around since the late 80s at least. Just from looking, it appears to have bushings, and its a sealed tabbed can, so I'd guess its a stock motor. Unless the last pic of the bottom has a stamp that says otherwise, maybe a number of turns stamped? or some would say ROAR meaning stock class. The pic is pretty blurry, so maybe you can read the bottom and tell us what it says.
So my best guess would be a 27turn single either 24 or 36 degrees of timing. Lol but honestly could be any turn bushing motor, or a race handout motor. Some popular turn bushing fixed cans had 23 and or 19 single winds.
Give us a clear shot of the bottom of the can or a reading of it.

Thanks. The pics looked a lot clearer on my phone.
The shaft end has stamped 'Yokomo' and 'SWS'. No other markings that I can find. If it was rebuild-able I would have had it apart to check it.

Yeah that means nothing to me. But I do recall seeing SWS or could be SMS too lol I'm sure one of the other guys will chime in and clear the S?S up at the very least.

I'm just surprised it has no other markings. At least it's a usable vintage motor.
