Has Halgar stepped up yet? Charity Project....

Post by mrlexan »

Has Halgar stepped up and allowed himself to become a true member of the forum? What I am asking is, DO YOU STILL NOT HAVE AN RC10?

If the answer is no, I have project that you can have for free. You will have to go through rebuild it and put it back together, but if you want it is yours and all I need is your address (PM me).

Lemme know. Thank you sir.

he told me he didn't want an rc10, because if he had one, no one could bust his balls about not having one.

as if that's the only reason to pick on him. :P :P

Dont feel bad Halgar. You aint the only one.The hardest part for me is knowing what I am looking at.I see alot of RC10`s on the bay but making an informed bid is tough. You guys speak of so many different options or models that someone like me who is new to the car dont have a clue.I cant tell the difference between a $600 car and a $150 car.

i hear that ."A" chassis "B" chassis, black, gold, flat pan etc.then you got 6 gear tranny's stealth, ball diff etc.even the shocks have tonnes.body's tonnes.my friend had it when he was younger and he says its not a great car compared to kyosho's.iunno i was thinking about getting one as well .but then i'll get hooked on a whole new thing and my searches will have to double and the spending lol
thats what scares me and plus theres gotta be like 5 times the amount of ppl who collect rc10 compared to kyosho.
2nd place is just the 1st loser

 Welcome to the world of RC10's.

1. Your friend was either working for Kyosho or smoking crack, or just very misinformed. AE>Kyosho. Always.

2. People have been collecting Kyosho for years. This RC10 as a collectible thing is 2 years old and AE has yet to reach Kyosho prices from what I've seen on eBay.

there are very very few rc10's actually worth 600 dollars. thats like nib or mint mip4x conversion price in my opinion.

its really just a matter of how far you want to go (or can afford to go) to get what you want.
then you have to factor in that there is at least one person who most likely has 50 times the amount of disposable income that you do who wants it as well...

problem is with built cars, is that they will never get the money they cost that it costs to build them.. Ive seen single parts sell for $20-30-40-$50 dollars easily sometimes. I mean 2 new white battery cups easily sell for $50 now. NIP White Stealth Case ive seen sell for $40. ive seen black motor plates sell for $50+. So it could easily take $500 to make a full car, or even more from total total scratch with all new parts... and that car MIGHT sell for $250 TOPS on ebay.

You mean I can't just live vicariously through you guys?

Wow, that is a mighty fine offer Jay, and I sincerely thank you for it. Unfortunately, I'm unable to do much in the way of RC related things right now - I haven't even touched my clods since last August, and it was probably a year before that since the last time I had a chance to play with them.  So I must pass on your offer at this time.

This is why I love RC10Talk and Clodtalk, they are jewels in the sea of floatsom known as the internet. I've never come across any other sites where the info flows so freely without flame and attack and the fine folks help each other out like this. You guys are tops! 8)

Bigger is better, right? :D

Erich, don't worry, I've got a Fox, remember? That's kind of like an rc10 isn't it?

Jay, free or not, I could not give it the home it deserves, that doesn't make the offer any less appreciated. 8) 8) Just don't give it to T-Strike or Tad, you know how they are with stuff.
