Kyosho Scorpion/Beetle rere wheel & tire options
Kyosho Scorpion/Beetle rere wheel & tire options
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the Scorpion. I'm curious what the tire options are that are available, and who has them. Are they a 1.55"? I'm looking to throw some paddles on the rears, hopefully the Sand Scorcher paddles. Thoughts?

I've seen a picture of the JConcepts RC10 Classic tires on Scorpion wheels.

Theres a user on eBay who sells repos of Kyosho super sand tires for the Turbo Scorpion. I looked on their website and didn't see any reproduction paddle tires, but if you email them they may be able to help.

It's 1.5" at the rear, not 1.6", but 1.6" tires will fit! The First Optima has 1.6" wheels...

The Sand Scorcher Paddles and Hornet spikes will fit on the scorpion wheels, you just have to leave out the outer ring and glue them on. I raced with the Super Champ/Hornet spikes on my scorpion back in the 80s.
