That would be shorter bolt, and that's not really an option in this scenario. I can't afford to stock 10 different bolt lengths and custom fit the right length to any given opening. The good news is that a buddy from another forum gave me the perfect solution, and that is to take a deep well socket, cut the drive head off of it, weld the nut driver portion to one end of a length of pipe, and the drive head to the other end of the pipe. This way I can have a custom length socket at a fraction of what even a modest 4" socket will cost. Now all I have to do is find a length of pipe and someone with a welder ... :? :? i actually thought out the nuts/bolts thing before i posted that...

The local PBS station didn't get enough funding to re-up Red Green this year... :(
