1:1 SPAM

Post by scr8p »

a few of you guys know my dad and i build old cars. so, i thought i'd share a couple pics of our lastest build that nearing completion. this ones a 55 chevy. it's got a 502 bbc, turbo 400 trans, and a ford 9" rear. there's still a lot of stuff to do, but it's getting there. :)

please don't ask what color it's getting painted. it's already done.

Awsome. I LOVE the paint, can't wait to see it 'together'.

There are just too many fun hobbies, aren't there? My 1:1 project is a car my dad and I pulled together 15+ years ago.

Sorry, crappy photo...

over the years i've had 3 camaros. the first one was a 72. it had a straight 6 with a 3sp. on the floor. then i got an 85 iroc. after that, i pick up a 79. that was the "get into a lot of trouble" car. it wasn't the nicest thing on the block, but it ran like a raped ape.

Who wants to resto mine? I just need the paint and body work done (even have the wife already approved that project). I got a local guy quote it who has some Mustang history, but a guy at work whom had his Boss 302 done by him told me not to touch him with a 10 foot pole. My other options are in Wisconsin and Conneticut, I would much rather keep the money in the family. Hint! Hint! Jason!

That's a freakin sweet ride Mr L. Definitely one of my all-time favorites. 8)

If things don't pan-out with Scr8p and his dad, you can send it to me. I'll take real good care of her for ya.

Here's a pic of my uncle's Camaro. All the paint was done in the garage and masked by hand. The sheet metal work was done by hand as well. Unfortunately it's been gone for quite some time though :(

the car's been at my dad's place for about 2 yrs. we haven't been working on it that whole time, though. we finished up that black 55 olds we did, and did a 67 442 for that guy, too. here's what it looked like when it showed up. it was friggin rough. it actually came from your neck of the woods (texas), but i don't remember exactly where. sorry about the camera phone pic..................

Yeah, that 442 looks great too. I love the redlines with the TT's. That look is made for that car. You guys are doing some real nice work up there. :D

I can only imagine the trouble you had with that 55. It's a great feeling though, knowing you made it nicer than the factory ever did. 8)
