Best off road?

was hoping to get some recommendations from the board.

I have $1500 to spend, want to get a Kyosho offroad EP to bash around, hope you can help.

I won't do any races, just drive it around for fun, it needs to withhold some punishment.

1/10 - 1/16 are all fine, I have a mini z buggy and love it, I've been doing some EP onroad for a while.

What's something good quality and something that I don't have to chuck away and buy another one? I'm happy to get a top of the range model.

With that budget I would get an ep mad force. Big fast monster truck. Or one of the 1/9 rally cars... Or both for 1500 and a bunch of batteries and spare parts plus a nice quad...seriously 1500 buys a lot of rc nowadays.

so things in here ought at least to be +20 years of age - IMO.

The beetle should be fine to ask about in this forum as it´s a re-release of an old kit.

But the other one is a new thing, and should be placed in the off topic forum.
The majority of the people on this board still live in the 80´s or wish we did, and wouldn´t now anything about about that FOFF thing

Anyways, with 1500 bucks, you should be able to get yourself a nice Optima Mid with a couple of options, or if you want more modern, Lazer ZX-RR or ZX-S.

Yeah..look at my swb optima mid video.
I won 1st place with it against a caster s10b.

If I had $1500 I would buy a NIB Kyosho Ultima Pro and build it and put it on a shelf. But that's just me. Then I'd probably buy a cheap (real) used car.
