Schumacher and MMS info for old CATs.

Post by Groomi »

Hi All,
While sorting through a few spares the other day, I got sidetracked by these little gems. Might be of interest to some of you. :)

Wider rear suspension kit and geometry change - presumably converting XL into XLS?

Optional extra front diff - again, an XLS conversion?

Improved sealed thrust race.

MMS 14 ball diff and top layshaft.

MMS top pulley.

MMS tri-pulley ball diff.

I've also got the original parts list from my 1987 XLSish which looks like an XL specced up so perhaps pre-dates the official release. It also shows the Parma 'Fat Cat' shell and MMS diffs and layshaft - so it had them from new. I guess that settles my build spec when I get round to that car! :)

Does anyone know what size diff balls are used in the MMS diffs?

Scanned these in which are the MMS sheets that came with the diff and layshaft.
