help needed finding pic of mr.tamiya's sand scorcher
ya know that sand scorcher that was built by a group to give to mr.tamiya as a gift....where is that pic of him receiving it?...i have seen it before but i just cant find it now..

this one...notice the white gloves.....but I thought it had different rear tires that had yellow lettering?..i thought I saw a pic with the car being presented to mr.tamiya.....that's what im after...

sweet pic. Those are cages I sold many years ago on that Sand Scorcher.

The Tamiyaclub Community Scorcher wasn't just a body. Many, many TC members donated parts to the car to build the chassis and suspension, then Pleiku68 plated the metal parts in rhodium and gold. The project took 4 years from the first parts being donated to Chris travelling to Shizuoka to present it to Tamiya. Of course 2003 was long before rerelease parts so all the new parts were all rare originals.
Here it is at Tamiyas reception with Kenichi Oshiro

dan, only one was ever built, but Rad modified and painted two bodies in case he made a mistake, meaning he was left with a spare body when he was finished. he then built his own car based on the Community Scorcher.

not really like it was presented like i described..i seen that photo along time ago..and needed a refresh on memory...such a cool story and car...why no nerf bars?..and they should of modeled the re-re after this...
