Tamiya Sand Scorcher with Monster Beetle-body
Hi all
Although my heart starts pounding more & more for the RC10, I thought I could post this Sand Scorcher.
It has a MB-body and the chassiparts have been beadblasted. I painted it with 2 different grey (German Grey and Hazel Grey) since I just wanted to try something that is not really "typical". It also has alu-rims from Pargu and the look great, the guy is really good in making good looking rims I think!
Hope You´ll like it and have a great weekend!

Absolutely incredible 'Scorcher!
I saw the photos of your car on another sight, and used one as my desktop background a few weeks ago.
I hope to join the Sand Scorcher crowd very soon.
Excellent photography.
It looks like we have similar tastes in vehicles:

That's awesome I love the detail of the hard bodies. Really nice job, looks very much like a real car.

I like the look of the chassis from what i can see under the body Lets see a body off that would be a great technique to use on a the re re coming.

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher with Monster Beetle-body
Thx a lot all!
Yes, the Beetle hardbody is stunning (all 3 of them, the Scorcher, Monster Beetle and the Blitzer Beetle). I just notice that I wrote "Monster Beetle" in the title but it is a Blitzer Beetle body!!! Sorry! I assume it is because I am restoring a Monster Beetle right now so the word "Monster Beetle" is still in my head!

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher with Monster Beetle-body
that is beautiful
I hope tamiya releases something with a beetle hard body in the near future. I don't care exactly what it is, but with the re issue buggy champ, a lot of folks will be looking to do something like this, and you have certainly given them something nice to try to emulate.

That looks fantastic! Looks like a hoot to drive as well. Great attention to detail.

That's an incredible build. If you're ever looking to trade, I may have a few RC10's to offer for that!
If it isn't broke, I haven't driven it yet.

Fantastic looking! It almost looks like a CAD rendering.

That looks nice and clean. The grey color Reminds me of someone who has done a bunch of body work to his bug to get it ready for paint but still needs to drive it to work. Did you make the front bumper?

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher with Monster Beetle-body
Hi Tobbe,
this is one scaler I won't say No to. It's replacing Rizzo's sand scorcher action shot on my desktop (sorry rizzo, but it's been there for months already).
Still: it looks a bit blurry on the desktop because of the low resolution. Tobbe, any chance I can download a higher resolution picture somewhere?
PS: Pargu makes nice wheels, and you make very nice pics (and cars ofcourse)
