Battery for a Jerobee Radio

Post by kevcrid »

I purchased a Gas Jerobee rc car and want to get it running, but the remote has no battery and takes the ever ready 276 which I can't seem to find. Does anyone have a suggestion? Should I rewire the controller to use a regular 9 volt or would that even work? Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a Battery Plus store in the area? Amazon may also be a source.

another option would be to try and make a small lipo pack to fit in it's place.

Thanks for the reply's. I asked the guy on YouTube and he no longer makes/sells battery's. The battery Dave linked would work with a adapter, I may go this route or just try convert to a 9 volt battery.

I think I found a solution. The PP9 battery from what I have found is the same as the EverReady 276 and I was able to get on for $11 shipped on eBay. I will update with results as soon as I get the battery.

Also, I am looking a Jerobee car on eBay, but it's missing the radio would the radio from my current Jerobee be compatible if I switched out the crystal? Both are from the same time frame.
