Ontario/Alberta Hello
Hey everyone, with the fishing season almost done I need something to keep me busy this winter. So back into RC I come! I was introduced to RC in 1983 when attending grade 7. My first car was a Super Champ that Christmas, and was followed by many many over the next decade.
One of those was the RC10 as soon as it was released. I'll never forget how disappointed I was with this car and the lack of runtime due to the brass bushings. As soon as I upgraded to bearing, the car came to life. Oh, the things I did to improve the performance....cutting down the aluminum chassis (see my signature), eventually going to graphite....Kyosho gold shocks...good times. Unfortunately I never kept any of my cars. I'll try and get a couple pics up in the next week or two.
About a month ago I decided to jump back in to RC. I picked up a MK1 Rough Rider and have started the process of restoring with original parts. As this is a time consuming process I started looking at other projects and decided why not try and tackle an RC10 restoration. Then I found these videos...

Well now I'm hooked! It's going to be my mission to find at least one shelf queen of each RC10 generation! Wish me luck...or better yet PM me if you have anything
Although I live in Ontario, I'm in Calgary for at least two weeks every month. The plus to this is that I have two local Kijiji sources to pull from. Whether I decided to get back into racing, we'll see. Regardless, I've quite enjoyed reading a lot of threads in this forum, it really takes me back.
Cheers all,
Adam

Welcome. I spend my winters re-habbing my old cars. I'd love to gen an RC10 as well. Never owned one, but maybe its time to start looking.

Hey Adam, welcome! I'm forever running / breaking my RC10's but its so much fun, lol. Currently trying to finish my Hot Shot (almost there) re-re but its been slow going. Hopefully with fall / winter I'll get to complete that and a couple other projects.

Hi Adam, what brings you to Calgary? Seems odd that two weeks a month is spent here considering the economy right now.
Any old school Team Associated or Team Losi vehicle you buy and rebuild will be worth it. Have fun, that is the bottom line.

Hey Dave, I'm in Oil & Gas, hence the travel.
I never got into Losi cars. I tried a Yokomo Dog fighter back in the day without much success. Also had the first gen Shumacher Cat, although it was a shelf queen that never ran.
I didn't realize a B2 was going to be difficult to find....at least according to this thread.

Apparently Slotcarrod in Calgary had a few until a fire?...man, that breaks my heart
