Hello I think I got a good deal off of evilbay on a rc10

Post by Mr.Sci-Fi »

You guys were probably watching this if not bidding on it but I walked away with it for $350

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360026125384

I think it was a pretty good deal, it looks all there and nice now I just need a body and driver. I hope to get
it finished like the boxart. I know that one guy has had a couple of finished boxart bodies on auction but they're to
steep. I need to know what body I need and who I can goto to get a good price on a paint job.

What do you guys think of my winnings? good, decent or bad deal? Did I buy it from someone here?

Any suggestions on making this a shelf queen?

I think you got a pretty fair deal. I know I paid more for my new built after buying and selling several cars to get the perfect one. here you got it in one shot.

The front wheels are on backwards... :P The body and driver won't be hard to find.

I think it's a good deal considering what we are paying for nip white parts.

I know that I personally have spent over $500 piecing together my gold rc10. I've purchased tons of used part lots and cars just to get a white NIP item that came with deal. I've sold many of the cars and parts to easily turn a profit...but it's taken me about 5 years to get this car together.

So, congrats on your purchase!!!!

regards,

imho, thats just about what a built 6 gear in really really good un-used condition should go for.

Looks like a nice deal. All of the parts appear to be there to finish it - and - there's an extra nearly-full tree of white ball cups. You may already know those little things alone are worth a small fortune these days.

Got it today, not as minty white as I had hoped, seems like the years and the greasy box made the parts dinge a little. It's also missing a few parts, a plastic rear shock insert,( the white thinng that goes between the shock and the screw it rests on), A front nose tube brace, a battery retainer, a rear tire spin nut, and it needs a new right front steering block. The tires are nice and minty with the associated logos on them but whatever they used inside seems to be discoloring the rear rims, almost seems to be like a locktite blue.

I need to start tearing into this puppy and clean it up, hopefully I can get it to a real nice minty white. Those parts listed and a new body/driver and I should have this shelf queen ready for a beauty pagent.
