I have a set of MIP CVDs on my RC10T with the 1/4" axles. I broke the bone yesterday joy riding in front of my house (the knuckle at the diff hub sheered off). I have not been able to find a replacement bone searching the internet. I sent an email to MIP in hopes they have something. I know I could update to a 3/16" universal, but I don't want to change out all my wheels (I have a few sets that work perfectly fine). Anyone know of a replacement.?
buy the 3/16 kit and just use the bones. I think the LHS might have just the bones on hand from way back when I was busting them on my gt regularly. Never know where you might find them.

Are the MIP shiny cvd bones the same as the regular bones except for the finish or is there supposed to be a performance advantage?

There is the standard shiny ones, which I believe is nothing more than the finish. Then there is the shiny aluminum ones, which are obviously different.

For the guys that have an opinion/experience, how did the aluminum CVD bones (RC10/B2/B3 sized) hold up back in the day relative to the hardened steel or shiny ones? Now that the bones are longer for modern cars, MIP doesn't make them out of...

I've acquired a set of the aluminum versions by mistake (I thought they were HG ti's). When I had them ID'd, I was told they were typically used by the dirt oval guys not so much in off-road so I haven't tried to run with them in the B3.
My hope is this thread becomes an ongoing resource of information to help further the knowledge / resources for the older MIP bones (shiny and dark) 1/10 and 1/8 scales
and so forth. There is limited information on the web especially when it comes...

this has probably been answered a million times before. i want to change the 1/4 rear axles to 3/16 and i want to install a mip cvd but what do i need to buy? or do they still make them for the old gold pan rc10 buggy? and later on i would like to...
