- MIP 4-10 Legend car with Tecnacraft rims and CF tub -
Well guys, I still can't beleive I FINALLY managed to grab a set of those über rare Tecnacraft wheels. They are just awesome and I now better understand why people go crazy when once in a while they appear on evilBay. They will be part of my 4-10 MIP Legend build. Good start uh? Now I need to find Kyosho adapters, I'll order a few sets of the HPI plastic ones from Tower and hope they will have the right offset. I would also like to find a Tecnacraft aerofoil wing for this project, hope, hope, hope... I'll work on the chassis this weekend and will take pictures of the project parts very soon, stay tuned!
The rear wheels already received a very quick polish so don't forget your

What kind of Kyosho adapters have you found ED? That's amazing mate, please post your first pictures right now, that will be a kind of a contest Do you also plan to use a Fybre-Lite CF tub? If so, yes, I can't beleive it either
All four wheels have been tear down and hand polished...

those wheels don't take bearings, I think they are hex drive.

Yep same chassis too...
Fibre-lyte tub and parts
Tecnacraft wheels
Tecnacraft wing
Viper body probably
MIP Legend kit...
No pics for a while from me as I am at my brother's house for Easter. Do you have your Fibre-lyte tub? If so how long did it take for them to make it for you? I have been waiting a few months now...Why didn't you use your COM-COM chassis?
Bye...

Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
Here a little teaser, I still need a few bits and bobs to compete the project, and I have some work on the bench to modify the parts to fit the 4wd conversion...
Namely drilling the rear bulkhead and shock tower, two holes in the front kick-up and trimming the chassis, the Fybre-Lite one needs to be shaved rigth and left at the rear (see pic below)
- Tecnacraft Ti hinge-pins and turnbuckles
- Tecnacraft rims
- Fibre-lyte chassis, tranny brace and shock towers (still have to order them)
- MIP battery holder
- Teflon coated shocks (I may use the black MIP ones from another car)
- White parts all around but the steering and trannies
- Looking for an aerofoil Tecnacraft wing and may have sourced one
Any comments on the parts choice is welcome

Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
I did all the necessary mods today, it spent all the afternoon dremelling, dzzz, rzzz, rach rach rachchchch
What really amazes me is the work that was left to be done on the CF tub, I really had to dremel like 4 mm on each side to fit the rear arm mounts. When you think of the price of this little gem even back in the day, I still can't figure why they didn't finished their work at the factory

What is the price on the Fiberlyte stuff? I am sure that it is not affordable with the value of the dollar.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

But this is usually the case with every build. All those little parts costs add up.Asso_man! wrote:

Jay I think it's 150£, but I bought mine from Chewie, this is a true old one, with the kick-up drilled, which they won't do anymoremrlexan wrote:What is the price on the Fiberlyte stuff? I am sure that it is not affordable with the value of the dollar.

I'm pretty sure the tub was $200 and the un-drilled nose plate was $100 the shock towers are roughly $25 each.Asso_man! wrote:Jay I think it's 150£, but I bought mine from Chewie, this is a true old one, with the kick-up drilled, which they won't do anymoremrlexan wrote:What is the price on the Fiberlyte stuff?
