
Still a work in progress. was hoping to have it running to test here in Las Vegas, but that will have to wait....for parts...
Some tips I've learned from assembling:
* Go back and RE-READ all the required parts. I missed a few that I'm waiting for. Forgot the re-re Worlds transmission case is asymmetric, so the correct case is on order.
* the rear shocks for me from the stock RE-Worlds position felt like they were binding. I loosened the bottom of the shocks a few turns on the bolt and it cleared up. I may need to shim the bottom of the shock or work on the mounting position on the back ( I used the Carbonworks rear RC10 shock tower until I can confirm I can get more rear shock towers for this car).
* as with any mid-motor car, some imaginering will be required for running over the 4 main cables from the ESC to the motor. Going to try going over the battery with this setup.
* I learned how MUCH my steering bellcranks were off on the Worlds car after assembling the new steering, which I love. Will most likely be adding a servo saver not for the servo but for the 3D-printed bellcranks and steering hubs.
* Yes, it's cheaper just to pick up a newer AE mid motor buggy than modify the OG RC10, BUT, we do it because we love it!
*(UPDATE)- figured out why the rear shocks are binding; 1) the rear tow is now INVERTED away from the tower, 2) the a-arm mounts are in the rear holes!. Will try moving back the a-arm mounts to see if that gives me the clearance AND confirm the B44 rear CV's still have proper outdrive depth.
