My RC10 Graphite Team Car
I finally found a pretty good Graphite Team Car. I had been looking for one for very long long time so I just couldn’t let this one slip through my fingers. As there is really nothing to rebuild I will take time with the build and yes, I will also paint the body. This looks to be a complete kit although already partially assembled by someone. Even the decals are all there. Enjoy the pictures and I will update the thread when there is something to update.

Yes, I love them too. I'm not so much into gold pans, probably because Graphite was one of my first real RC cars.
I also assure there will not be a single re-re part in this one.

That's a sweet looking and clean cut bit of a kit TomiS. I never appreciated the graphite RC10 until I saw one up close. All I have ever had were pans, but I really want a graphite to build one day. Thanks for sharing!

Some progress. Looks like this build will take time but what's the rush. It's been waiting in the box for almost 30 years so few months more are quite acceptable.
Stealth will be next. Almost feels bad to open the bags but then again not. It looks better when complete.

Really nice TomiS.
Please do take your time and enjoy the build experience; there aren't many NIB Graphite kits left in the world and AE probably won't be making anything like this again. Sorry for stating the obvious.
Anyway, thank you for posting the build here.

Re: My RC10 Graphite Team Car
I think this is done. If I can find period correct and new electrics I may add them but I'm perfectly happy without them also. This was not really a project but more like a cool build with no need to refurbish or search for parts. All the parts were in the box and I just put this together. I'm also pretty sure this was my last vintage car I will build as it's going to be very hard finding anything similar.
Body is painted by Ultrahive and I really really like it. Suits the car perfectly.

Re: My RC10 Graphite Team Car
What! I like it too! This result is worth every molecule of stagnant 30 year old air you let out of those bags. The paint job is amazing; so many nineties and eighties details.
I have a Graphite Team and a six gear CE to build from parts from three cars. I was going to start with the CE, but after reading your thread I decided to build both at the same time so I can choose the better parts and fasteners for the Graphite as I move along. They’re both going to be runners, but I’d rather end up with the nicer Graphite.
Where did you get the second Graphite? Is it gonna get a paint job like the new one?

Re: My RC10 Graphite Team Car
That was an older ebay find but I ended up selling it. I do have another graphite, the original 6 gear one and these two will be keepers. I put another Ultrahive body on it even it is wrong for the car. I wish he could paint me Protech 2 body for it but I doubt that as they are not available from AE anymore. I pretty much love everything he paints, there are so many little details on them. And there sure are 80's and 90's feel which I like a lot.

What a beauty! Great find and really nicely painted body too. Top stuff.
