Weird Lazer drive hub/layshaft
I bought a Lazer ZX-R (as best I can tell) off of ebay. I'm pretty sure it was raced at some point, because it was outfitted with Losi shocks, and the finned heatsink/motor mount. I also think it became a toy or was sold off later. In any case, I was tearing it down and came across this funky drive hub layshaft combo. The parts are all threaded 4-40. I first thought somebody just cross threaded SAE stuff in there, but not so. It's also drilled to take standard spurs. The rear belt side appears to be different steel than the front belt side. I think this may have been a part made in the USA, just not sure if it was a machinist's one off or something that was sold. The car came from Minnesota. Any info would be welcome!
