i tweaked a couple diff versions of #4 a little more to make it read a lil' better. the one with the 2 stripes on the bottom reads more like 'rc10talk' than the other.
i agree 2 formats are cool. i was thinking more about decals for scr8ps chassis than a body. e.g. the horiz version for the side of the pan and the square for the top of the motor plate.
lemme know which of the boxier ones you prefer, and i'll shoot em to ya.
i had an idea, but it would have to be approved by joeyskates. how bout i paint the chassis just like the boxart? i could do most of the chassis the "orange" color, and do the sides of the tub the white, with the stripes. then someone could make the rc10talk.com decal in black like the team associated decal on the body. then, it'd be like having a boxart chassis, too. just a thought.
Jay that would definitely work, and just gave me an idea. Do the chassis as you said and leave the body clear where it overlaps the chassis and finish the paint scheme on the body where the chassis ends and the body begins. Sounds crazy huh?

sounds like a plan. if that's how you'd like the chassis, that's how i'll do it.
Go for it Jay and we'll go from there. Again though I really want to thank you, you're definitely good people.
Like I said awhile ago when I first joined this forum, you guys are all great and Jason is just a perfect example. I'm on a couple of forums but nothing like this one. This one has always felt small and familial but more importantly, like "home" which is something that I personally have never experienced on any other board or anywhere else on the net for that matter. Theres a lot of love on this board and I'm glad to be a part of it.
Now if I can just "love" an MIP SP-45 out of one of you...
The print shop has the artwork. I should have some idea of when they will be available in the next couple of days. I asked for three white sheets and three black sheets, each with two of each of the logos hoop sent me (total of six logos). The square style are 2.0 inches long and the horizontal is 5.0 inches long (same as the original AE long logo). I will send them to hoop and he can disperse them as he sees fit.
Well I have been busy, and I'm worried I may miss getting on later to say a BIG THANKS to the many members who have served in one way or another! I would love if every member who served just put a little post of some sort here! Any NATO countries! I...

Not much of a build thread as its almost complete few decals to find and apply
Wasn't really sure which way to go with this (replica wise) as there was only 5 of them with very few pictures as AE wasn't keen on photos being taken.
From this poorly written and poorly pictures listing it appears I got a pretty decent mid! Chassis and tires are not bad at all! Gear mesh was very tight, after loosening it up the drive train is very free and smooth. Looks to have been run very...

I have a soft spot for the Mid because I always wanted one and the Turbo Optima Mid SE was both the first brand new buggy I owned and the last buggy I owned.
Fast forward 20+ years and I'm building an SE close to what mine was with bits I wanted...

Love it! When I built my replica, I came to appreciate all the details it takes to get it right.
Did you have the shock caps hard anodized? That was one part that I had to approximate, olive drab tamiya paint was the closest I could get.
