Kyosho Racing Pajero 1/12
Thought I would share with you some pictures of my Kyosho Racing Pajero. This is the car I had as a 14 year old boy when I worked in a local model shop, the owner purchased one for his son as a Christmas present, when I saw it running I just had to have one as well, so I saved up all my earnings and ordered the car. It was delivered from Kyosho and took about 8 weeks to arrive, I used to go in to the model shop most days to see if it had arrived, the owner was a very patient man . When it finally did arrive I remember building, fueling up and using it a few times then lost a piece off the drive gear so had to wait for spares from Japan, although my boss managed to fabricate a part to tide me over until the original parts arrived. At that time I think Ripmax was the importer in the UK and the stock would come over on a container ship.
Was a great car, sold the lot as a kid and bought a mountain bike and the rest is history. I looked out for a replacement one for a long time as i now have lads with an interest, I came across this Pajero which is overall in great condition.
Would be very interested in some spares for this car so if you have a Pacing Pajero or a Racing Montero, which is the same thing except for the body, then please get in touch with a PM.
Also please fire up some pictures of your Pajero or Montero would be great to see a few more pictures and where these RC Cars got to in the world, seem to be very few in the UK.
Boxart, check out the Kyosho Rocky wheels on the model....
Car I had as a lad....
Latest car, I managed to locate this 30 years on and with some assistance from a friendly trader....

Cool truck! I've never had a chance to drive one of the old rear engine nitro cars. Always wondered how they handle. Are they wheelie machines?

Re: Kyosho Racing Pajero 1/12
Recently found out as well as the Pajero and Montero there was a Datsun Stepside that used the same chassis tub, looking further again I spotted Graupner Minitz with a similar chassis tub. Would love to see pics of anyone Pajero and Montero trucks if there are any still out and about, wonder if my old car is still in one piece somewhere

It's a very, very uncommon truck... it isn't just you but, there aren't a lot either
This is from the days when all the kyosho chassis were rail-based... that tech dated back to the late 70's - early 80's... the last of the mohicans was the Salute/Ultima, and then thank god they moved away from that architecture!!!
This is a really cool truck, that Paj'

Thanks i'd love to see pictures of others, this one doesn't look to have been run very much unlike mine that i had as a kid which was very well used. I've bought fuel but as yet i haven't run preferring to keep it clean and safe!!
The other car i like is the assault and others from that era.
