RC10GT Brushless Conversion Performance Review
I thought I would share my experience building, track testing, and bashing my RC10GT brushless conversion. I've seen some really nice builds doing these conversions but could never find a whole lot about the end result as far as performance and is it worth the time/expense for what you have when you...

Need a Little help with RC10 Body Identification
I picked up two of these bodies with a collection I bought recently and didn't think much about them. I thought "big deal, 6160 protech bodies" there is a never ending supply on ebay for around $15 right? So today I pulled one out (they were carefully wrapped in tissue paper) for a street ...

Custom Works 2wd Prototype?
I picked up a sizable vintage collection today from a from a guy who was a hobby shop owner and a dirt oval racer bitd. This is one of the cars in the collection. I dont have any knowledge of dirt oval racing or Custom Works cars. He told me that Darren Zimmerman (I hope I have the name correct) Bui...

Re: 12mm hex conversion
Yes the truck axles are longer and use the thicker 12 mm hex. It's a 4mm difference. So if you use the truck axles/hex, your total front width will be 8 mm wider. Depending on the backspacing of the wheels you want to use, this could be used to your advantage. I included this pic so you can see both...

Re: Original Wild Willy
Well, I've been slowly working on on my Willy. Thought I'd snap off a quick pic before it gets removed from the work bench. As you can see from the first pics when I found it, It received an almost total repaint, new decals, and new tires. When I get some time, probably after hunting season, I'll do...

Re: went ahead and got me a rc10t3
Nice. The T3 is a great truck and is currently underappreciated on the market and some great deals are out there. I see yours still has the battery hold down which is great since they seem to be the most difficult part to find at times. Congrats on the find!

Re: RC10 CE rebuild electronics
I have had good success with the cheap brushless setups although I haven't tried this one. It's going to be ridiculously overpowered compared to any brushed setup you ever ran. The cheaper sensorless motor/esc's tend to cog sometimes from a dead stop or at low speeds and can be annoying at times. So...

Re: RC10 CE rebuild electronics
This is how I have mine setup. One of the advantages of using this configuration is that you have the option of moving your battery forward or back to get your car properly balanced.

Re: Losi XX4
Interested to see your testing with the "cheap" ESC. :D Me too. I have been using the hobbywing justock in my B6 for a few months now. It gets 4-5 packs run through it 1-2 times a week. It has been flawless. I'm curious to see how similar the cheap esc's are physically, performance wise, ...

Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review
Once upon a time, upgrading from your mechanical speed control to an esc was a good chunk of a paycheck or a summer of mowing lawns for a kid. Brushless came along and was not the cheapest upgrade to an RC either. When I first started making the change over to lipo battteries and brushless esc's and...

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review
I just ran my first pack (5000mah 2s lipo) through the esc. The new tires on my stampede are oversized and heavy and I definitely was geared too high, but it was problem free wheelie poppin fun the whole time. Motor was running a little warm at the end for a cool overcast day at 160` but the esc nev...

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review
I'm looking forward to your ESC review. I've been thinking about getting that exact ESC for a long while now. The description wording in the Chinese acutions has always prevented the purchase: "High quality PCB plate, good linearity, high current capability, can be No brush and no sense of bru...
