Okay so probably around 4-5 years ago I was fortunate enough to find a nicely built but hardly used #9000 B2 locally. The body and wing are both trimmed and mounted but still unpainted. Now my question to you is, what would you do ? Leave them this way or paint and decal them as the box art Matt Francis championship design ?
Another is, do you feel the esc and motor are appropriate for this car as per it’s time period and intended use ? Thank you in advance for your opinions. Mark
What would you do B2 ?

Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

Re: What would you do B2 ?
The Tekin Rebel was out within the B2's time frame. While I have a couple of them, I wouldn't put them really high on my list. They are just so huge, packaging them is troublesome in many cars. My experience is that Tekin esc's can be finicky, and these are no exception.
If racing was the intention, a 17T machine wound was probably pretty mild for a buggy. But it and the esc (16T+, reversible) would have been well suited general fun use.
And I'm sure that many will say that a RC10 deserves a Reedy motor.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: What would you do B2 ?
I would pull the electronics (what servo is in there?) and put some period correct high end gear in it. Whether you want to emulate an actual team driver's setup or just cherry pick your own favourites from the time frame is up to you, but that motor and ESC combo belong in a budget basher more than a racer.
If you aren't going to run it, I would leave the body and wing clear.

Re: What would you do B2 ?
I’ve got to agree with you guys on the changing out the esc and motor. I believe the servo is just the standard futaba that came with the Magnum I received with the car. Think I’d definitely like to run a Reedy motor, as for the esc I’ve always felt that when it was time to step up Novak was the only way to go. Yes admittedly most all of my “nice” older ones are really just meant for display. If I really really get the itch to drive them I’ll usually find another similar or not so nice example to take my wants out on.
