I got a set of their new RC10 B2 2.2 wheels with narrow fronts recently. They look really good but the front bearings are really sloppy in the wheel.

Let them know, if there’s a manufacturing issue they would want to rectify it immediatelywinner_evo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:48 pm I got a set of their new RC10 B2 2.2 wheels with narrow fronts recently. They look really good but the front bearings are really sloppy in the wheel.![]()

Could the poor fitment in the wheels be a case of mixing millimeters and inches on the bearings?winner_evo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:48 pm I got a set of their new RC10 B2 2.2 wheels with narrow fronts recently. They look really good but the front bearings are really sloppy in the wheel.![]()
Pretty sure these wheels uses 3/16” X 3/8” bearings (AE3977)

I’ve spoken to JC Racing on this topic, they will check and rectify this tolerance issue with the next production run. They were pretty happy with the fit believing it to be comparable to other manufacturers tolerances but will address and tighten it up.
I have quite a few sets of the front wheels for the original RC10 and have not found this issue, I cannot speak for the B2 narrow wheels.

I am using the 3/16 x 3/8 bearings, I removed some from associated worlds re re wheels to double check. It did cross my mind if they'd been manufacured to use metric bearings but I haven't checked that.sandkil wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 2:43 amCould the poor fitment in the wheels be a case of mixing millimeters and inches on the bearings?winner_evo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:48 pm I got a set of their new RC10 B2 2.2 wheels with narrow fronts recently. Good that they're going to correct it as without, it spoils an otherwise nice wheel option.Synergy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 3:30 am I’ve spoken to JC Racing on this topic, they will check and rectify this tolerance issue with the next production run. Same, I have a couple of sets of their RC10 5 spokes & they're fine, it's just the B2 fronts that have this issue, rears fit fine.

Re: Yokomo 870C 2.2 Narrow Front Wheels Available.
I gave the wheels a quick measure, they are not a metric size, just a loose fit for the intended bearing. I would say it's not much but enough for the bearing to not be retained/drop out and give a bit of play.winner_evo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 6:05 amI am using the 3/16 x 3/8 bearings, I removed some from associated worlds re re wheels to double check.
