Not sure if you want to go this route, but there was a post explaining how to adapt a b2/b3 motor plate to a 2.2 stealth. If you convert the motor plate, you can then use the newer gear cover.

I got a B4 cover to work with my 6 gear.
Firstly there are 2 different types of B4 covers, I used this one

Going to need one of these ones if you're running a stealth, it looks to be a slightly different shape around the pinion part so I dunno if my method will work. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGJ4&P=7

Just trimmed off the lip that fits around the edge of the b4 motor plate except for a bit to the left of the bottom B4 screw hole (about where that circular notch is that you can see in the tower pic) and flattened the lip out a bit so that I had somewhere to drill a hole for a screw to mount to the gold motor plate. Then placed it on with the gearbox shaft in the centre of the raised bit in the cover and marked where to drill the top hole in the cover which was slightly to the left of the B4 hole marking. Then I put it on with the top screw and marked where i had to drill the hole in the bit at the bottom. When the screw is tightened down it flattens out all the bends around the hole and seems to work ok.

Thanks
I used a B2 Rpm on my T2 and it worked fine. The hole on the bottom was a little off but I got it to work just fine.
