Restored a OG fibrelyte Schumacher cougar chassis , hours upon hours of wet sanding and around 4/5 coats of lacquer were required . Really happy with the turn out so far

Awesome that’s the 1 thing I don’t have in my collection of cougars ……yet.
Looks to be more of an original cougar mk1. That rear bulk head and front lower plate are both early release cougar parts.

Yea all the donated parts are mk1 cougar I will be putting it all back together with the appropriate parts this was just a mock up , was trying to create a Yokomo yz10 cougar build
If anyone has parts for cougar 2000 please let me know - i might fancy to build one based on that tub & parts. I also got different comcom c2k chassis' and all woven cf parts one could think of.

So am I the only one in the US still waiting (since June 10) for the re-re Cougar? I see several US residents on FB have them, even those who didn't get one from the first batch.
On a side note, it is awfully quiet here in the Schumacher section....

I wouldn’t really say mongrel 😂 it’s just what we did back in the day as Schumacher produced conversion kits that were way cheaper than buying a whole new kit.
The whole Ali pan series from top cat through were pretty much interchangeable parts wise...
If there's just one thing both CATS and I know - it's vintage schumachers buggies. I own 3 Cougar2 WORKS buggies and they are by far the cream of the crop when it comes to the alloy pan cars.
