New member here from outside of Boston. Grew up studying late-80s and early-90s RC Car Action mags and Tower Hobbies catalogs. Family budget dictated a Black Phantom from the Shack, and I loved it. Two-plus decades later I tripped across an RC10 B2 roller with a fresh Trinity Midnight motor. Haven't smiled like that in a long while. Working on a period-correct setup without too much fuss. I tracked down a Novak Explorer Sport is in nice shape, as well as a Futaba T2PHKA radio on eBay to chat with the FP-R122JE receiver that was in the car. I'll likely go for the JConcepts B2 shell. My current battle is finding a proper gear cover (AE#9247 or RPM#8032). Thanks for the ad. Look forward to chatting.

Re: Howdy from outside Boston - RC10 B2
Welcome! RCCA was so great back in the day.. Since I got back in the hobby I have collected every issue, special and book from the first 10 years..such an invaluable resource. Be sure to vote in the Build of the Month threads! Look forward to seeing your work.
