Great find. I have been around nitro rc and control line planes for many years. The engine seize issue is a very easy fix.
1 remove exhaust, glow plug, carb and clutch. Soak entire engine in Marvel mystery oil its cheaper than nitro fuel and works great, if you want add a little wd-40.
2 I have a zip lock bag full of gt tanks, send me a pic and I could help you out there and probably any other issues that arise.
I dont have a pull start for that engine, but a bump box would be your best bet and a great investment.
Yes, could you please help? Pm me and we can work out the details.
So, still looking for an option on the fuel tank. Do any of you guys have a solution on mounting an aftermarket tank? I can get the engine rebuilt/cleaned even get a traxxas one. But the fuel tank is kind of flummoxing me. Ideas, improvisions?
So, put in new shock towers, add the metal diff gear and get the engine free. Put it back together and give it a new body. Would like to get some titanium turnbuckles.

Would “super clean” degreaser do the same? And should I put the engine in a appropriate sized jar and submerse it in mystery oil? Got some today and basically got the engine tipped so it holds some in the exhaust port where the piston is locked. Please advise. Plan on seeing if I can get it to move tomorrow.

Got the engine free and turning. She is now soaking in a mason jar and will let it sit. I’m hoping the marvel oil will help remove the varnish. Just glad it is turning rather nicely. After a good soak I will pull it all apart and clean.
Engine is all cleaned up and has really good compression.
Next up is to rebuild shocks an add the carbon towers. Also picked up some blue factory team turnbuckles. Only other question I have is regarding fuel tubing. Is it sized based on outside diameter?
Started rebuilding the rear end. Ran into a snag, found that the previous owner stripped out the left side suspension/ rear arm mount. Guess that’s what the nut and bolt was for in previous pic. Kind of suspected that. Using up some left over blue hardware from my xxt build.
